What does Klipy do without me asking?
Once you connect an inbox, calendar, or messaging channel, Klipy reads what comes through it and builds context on its own: it creates and updates contact and company records from the people you talk to, logs interactions on a timeline, and prepares follow-up drafts, to-dos, and CRM field updates for you to look at. If you enable Auto mode for a delegation, Klipy also applies the CRM side of that work directly, updating deal stages, fields, or records without stopping to ask first. None of this reaches another person. Everything Klipy does on its own changes what’s stored inside your Klipy workspace: a contact record, a deal field, a to-do, a note. It doesn’t put anything in front of a contact, a prospect, or anyone outside your organization without a separate approval step, described below. Delegations control which of this runs and how closely you’re kept in the loop; each one can be turned on, turned off, or set to draft-only instead of Auto mode from Settings.Does Auto mode ever send a message for me?
No. Auto mode only changes what Auto mode is allowed to touch, and that’s CRM data, not outbound messages. Turning Auto mode on for a delegation means Klipy will update deal stages, fields, or records on its own instead of asking you to confirm each one. It does not extend to email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, or Telegram messages under any setting. Every email, reply, or social message Klipy prepares, whether from a background delegation or from a direct request, lands in a drafts queue first. Nothing leaves that queue and reaches the person it’s addressed to until you open it and send it yourself. There’s no configuration, plan, or delegation setting that changes this: draft-then-approve is how every outbound message works in Klipy today.Where do Klipy’s own emails come from?
A small number of emails come from Klipy itself rather than through your connected mailbox. Meeting recaps and participant recaps are sent fromrecap@assistant.klipy.ai. Booking and scheduling mail, like a meeting confirmation from your booking link, is sent from hello@scheduler.klipy.ai.
These are Klipy’s own addresses, not yours, and recipients can see that a recap or booking email came from Klipy rather than from you directly. Klipy never sends a message that appears to come from your own email address without your approval first, and it never signs a message as if it were you without you having reviewed and sent it.
If you’d rather a recap or booking confirmation go out under your own name, review the draft in your queue and send it yourself instead of leaving it to the automatic recap or scheduler mail.
What can I export from Klipy, and what can’t I?
Klipy’s export covers contact records only, and only on a paid plan. From Settings > Import & Export, a paid workspace can download its contacts as a CSV file, including fields like name, email, company, and phone number. On the Free plan, the same screen shows an upgrade prompt instead of an export button. Deals, companies, notes, tasks, and interactions have no export path today, on any plan. If you need to keep a copy of that information, for a backup, a migration to another tool, or before requesting account deletion, you’ll need to copy it out manually (screenshots, copy-paste into a document) since there’s no built-in way to download it. Klipy doesn’t offer full-account export today: there’s no single file that bundles everything a workspace holds. Plan around contacts as the one record type that reliably leaves with you, and treat anything else as something to copy by hand while your account is still active. Is Klipy certified for security and compliance?
Klipy holds current attestations for CASA, AES, and GDPR. A SOC 2 review is in progress and has not concluded, so today Klipy is not SOC 2 certified and doesn’t hold a SOC 2 Type II report. If a security questionnaire asks you to confirm SOC 2 status, the accurate answer right now is “in progress,” not “certified” or “compliant.” Klipy doesn’t hold ISO 27001 certification and isn’t HIPAA certified. If you handle health data or another regulated data category and need a specific compliance attestation for a vendor review, don’t assume Klipy already holds it: contact Klipy support directly, describe what your review requires, and they can tell you what’s current and what’s still in progress. This list covers security and compliance attestations specifically. For what Klipy reads from your connected accounts and how that data is handled day to day, see how Klipy handles your data, linked below. What are Klipy’s known limits today?
A few areas of Klipy work, but not completely, and it’s worth knowing about them before you rely on them:- Note search matches titles only. Searching your notes finds matches in the note title, not inside the note’s body text. Put words you’ll want to search for later in the title itself.
- Enrichment can fail silently. When Klipy looks up a company or a person and finds nothing, the field is simply left blank. There’s no error message and no re-enrich button; a blank field can mean either “not looked up yet” or “lookup found nothing.”
- The in-app notification center is basic. Klipy doesn’t yet have a full in-app notification center with a bell, banner, or badge for every change. Email notifications, under Settings > Notifications, are the reliable channel today for to-do reminders, meeting recaps, participant recaps, and agent notifications.

Can Auto mode send an email or message without me approving it?
Can Auto mode send an email or message without me approving it?
No. Auto mode only applies to CRM updates, deal stages, fields, and records. Every outbound email or message, regardless of any delegation or mode setting, sits in a drafts queue until you review and send it yourself.
Does Klipy ever send email that looks like it's from me?
Does Klipy ever send email that looks like it's from me?
No. Klipy only sends from your own address after you’ve reviewed and approved a specific draft. Automatic recap and booking mail is sent from Klipy’s own addresses,
recap@assistant.klipy.ai and hello@scheduler.klipy.ai, so it’s identifiable as coming from Klipy rather than from you.Can I export my deals, companies, or notes out of Klipy?
Can I export my deals, companies, or notes out of Klipy?
Not today. Klipy’s export tool covers contact records only, and only on a paid plan. Deals, companies, notes, tasks, and interactions have no export path, so copy anything you need from those manually.
Is Klipy SOC 2 certified?
Is Klipy SOC 2 certified?

Why is a field on a contact or company blank in Klipy?
Why is a field on a contact or company blank in Klipy?
Enrichment can fail silently: if a lookup finds nothing, the field is simply left empty with no error shown and no re-enrich button. A blank field can mean either that enrichment hasn’t run yet or that it ran and found nothing.
