# How do I connect LinkedIn to Klipy?

> Connect LinkedIn to Klipy via OAuth. Your DMs appear in Unibox so you can track prospect conversations and draft follow-ups without switching apps.

Connecting LinkedIn brings your prospect and customer **direct messages** into **Unibox** alongside email and other channels. Klipy captures DMs only—not posts, comments, or connection requests.

LinkedIn connects via **OAuth through Unipile**, the same infrastructure used for WhatsApp and Telegram.

## Before you start

* You must have an active LinkedIn account.
* Use the LinkedIn account you use for prospect and customer DMs—this is typically your personal LinkedIn profile.
* LinkedIn Sales Navigator is not required; Klipy works with standard LinkedIn DMs.

## Connect LinkedIn

    Click to connect. Klipy opens an authorization flow through Unipile. Sign in with your LinkedIn credentials and approve the requested access.

  <Step title="Wait for sync">
    New and recent **direct messages** begin appearing in **Unibox** within a few minutes. A backfill of approximately the last 30 days of DM history runs automatically.

<Note>
  LinkedIn's rate limits mean the first sync can take a few minutes for accounts with a large DM history. You'll see messages populate progressively.

* LinkedIn DMs appear in **Unibox** in real time as new messages arrive.
* You can reply to messages from inside Klipy.
* Conversations link to contact and company records where Klipy matches the LinkedIn profile.

## Disconnect LinkedIn

Go to **Settings → Channels → LinkedIn** and click **Disconnect**. You can also revoke access from your LinkedIn account's **Data privacy** settings.

    No. Klipy captures **direct messages** (DMs) only. Public posts, comments, likes, and connection requests are not processed.

    Klipy connects to your LinkedIn DMs, which are accessible whether you have a free account or Sales Navigator. Sales Navigator's InMail messages that arrive in your LinkedIn DMs will also be captured. Klipy does not integrate with Sales Navigator's search, lead lists, or CRM sync features.
